Toucan is building technology to unlock climate action at scale. Toucan is an early entrant into the market of tokenized credits and its technology is designed to bring both established and nascent environmental assets on the blockchain.
CHAR by Toucan is infrastructure for the automated, on-demand buying and selling of biochar carbon credits. It aggregates pre-screened credits from Puro.earth (“CORCs”) on one single platform as CHAR. Sell credits into CHAR, or purchase specific projects from CHARs available supply.
CHAR’s streamlined access to capital furthers Toucan’s mission to address major supply bottlenecks across CDR. It helps young and established projects in the nascent biochar market space to liquidate their credits to fund their growing operations.
